Data Center World Announces 2022 Data Center Startup Challenge Finalists, Recognizing Companies Revolutionizing the Data Center


SAN FRANCISCO, March 03, 2022–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Data Center World, the leading global conference for data centers and IT professionals, today announces the finalists for the 2022 Data Center Startup Challenge. The competition pits technology startups against data centers to each other, and judges will determine which companies have the best chance of success. The second annual Data Center Startup Challenge finalists include:

  • Alcatraz AI delivers an autonomous access control experience by harnessing the unique power of the human face.

  • Cumulus Digital Systems, Inc., digitize critical manual work in maintenance and construction.

The competition will take place live on the Data Center World stage on Wednesday, March 30 at 4:30 p.m. The finalists will present a ten-minute “elevator pitch” and answer questions from the judges.

The Data Center Startup Challenge is judged by a panel of industry thought leaders from the market research, editorial and investment communities, including:

  • Andrea Munoz, Andrea Munoz, Senior Vice President, Operations and Customer Success, CyrusOne

  • Moises Levy, PhD, Principal Analyst, Data Center Physical Infrastructure, Omdia

  • Michael Maniscalco, Executive Vice President of Technology, Applied Blockchain Inc.

Winners will be chosen by the judging panel based on their stage presentations, and presentations will be judged on the most disruptive technology; Better chance of success in the market; Better ability to earn additional capital; and the most influential founding team.
