Thiruvananthapuram: The Ministry of General Education has said that the inconveniences caused by the essay plus one award process have been rectified. The hurdles were caused when more than one lakh applicants accessed the portal’s four servers at once, officials said. The problem was solved by creating more servers.

1,76,076 applicants have reviewed their stipends and of these, 47,395 students have corrected their application or changed their options through Saturday.

General Education Minister V Sivankutty assured students that admission to the additional lots will be in the first phase of allocation, unlike last year. Meanwhile, some students still haven’t been able to access their trial batch, even two days after posting it. The students demanded to allow additional time to make corrections to the uploaded data. The time allotted for this purpose by the department will end at 5 p.m. on July 31.

Teachers pointed out that the iExaMS portal launched to complete online procedures for two more SAY exams is also inactive. For this reason, relief certificates were not issued to teachers who left after passing the exams.
