Discord says it is working with ‘Wallstreetbets’ team to moderate its new server By Reuters

(Reuters) – Discord Inc, a messaging platform for online gamers, said Thursday it was working with the team at Reddit ‘Wallstreetbets’ chat room to moderate its new server.

Discord said Wednesday it removed the WallStreetBets server from its platform for violating its guidelines on hate speech and spreading disinformation.

The Reddit chat room that caused stock surges for GameStop (NYSE 🙂 and other companies will be allowed to return to Discord as long as “they improve their moderation practices,” a spokesperson for Discord said.

“We contacted the moderators to provide them with support and advice,” she added.
